Behavior Therapy

Developmental and relationship-based behavior therapy is for children and teens who require unique support to meet the demands of their daily lives and develop positive relationships. Common reasons for seeking behavior therapy include:

  • Difficulty following instructions or adhering to routines
  • Having big reactions to unexpected or new events.
  • Hitting or using forceful actions toward others
  • Having frequent and often intense conflict between siblings or peers

A Specialized Approach

While some of our clients have diagnoses such as Autism, ADHD, Sensory Processing Disorder, Anxiety, or Global Developmental Delay, many do not. Our overarching developmental expertise enables us to treat behavior in a deeper way and seamlessly integrate insights from other pivotal therapies, such as occupational and speech therapies, to develop a cohesive understanding of your child. Positive change will be fostered through weekly play therapy sessions, focused on social-cognitive development that will boost your child’s ability to persevere through challenging moments. This program also includes parent meetings to develop effective strategies for addressing daily obstacles within the home, in ways that address the needs of the entire family.
